Winter is Roaring.

March is not coming in like a lamb this year. I think maybe the lion ate the lamb. A couple of weeks ago we had a big winter storm here and ended up with two consecutive snow days for the boys, as the schools were closed. That is not typical in March, though in Manitoba, nothing is really unheard of as far as weather goes. Now here we are, a mere two days away from the first day of spring and we have been hit with another storm, and another snow day! It's kind of funny, because today was supposed to be Mike's first day back at work, and here he is, working on reconnecting my central vac for me. (Yay! For those who think central vac would be a pain in the...well, you know, compared to hauling around a regular vacuum, not so. At least, not in my experience. I thought the same thing until we got central vac. Now that I have had it, going back to a regular vacuum this past four months has been difficult and irritating!)

So I thought I would throw in a few miscellaneous reports, just because I don't feel like doing anything else right now. First, here are a couple of pictures to show you how much snow we have compared to the end of November. Of course it is normal not to have a lot of snow in November, but usually by this time of year it is melting and diminishing, not increasing daily by leaps and bounds.

Okay, so I was wrong. This first picture was taken on December 19, exactly three months ago minus one day.

This picture was taken today. Can you tell how much snow we accumulated in three months? Yes, I know it's sunny out. It's not snowing anymore, but the wind is wicked, so it's cold and visibility is bad on the highways.

Sadly, it has literally taken me the whole day to write this, even though I have not really said anything! So I must sign off. It is 8:30 p.m. and I have not even had supper yet. I have one kid sleeping that says he feels like barfing, so I am now very stressed! And on that note, I'm off.
